Winter is coming and it is hardly good on your skin. You are probably not looking forward to the dryness winter brings to your skin. Avoiding these common skin care mistakes are the best thing you will do this winter.
1) Don't forget to exfoliate - getting rid of dead skin cells even in winter is the first step to let moisture back in. Choose a great scrub with natural oils which will remove dead skin and moisturise your skin, leaving your skin feeling great even before you step out of your bathroom. Scrubbing with caffeine is an uplifting way to start your winter skin regime. No prizes for guessing which coffee scrub we recommend.
2) Don't forget to moisturise - regardless of how, when, what you scrub with, your skin needs more moisture in the dry winter months. Choose an intense moisturiser for the job.
3) Don't take piping hot showers - we know you are tempted to just turn on the hot water tap and stay there until winter finishes...BUT, hot water is not great for your skin. You are probably stripping away the natural oils already present in your skin. So, resort to warm showers, and don't stay in the shower until the end of winter.
4) Don't neglect your lips - lips are likely to dry out much more than your skin. Why? Because they are always exposed. They also have fewer oil glands which make them prone to winter dryness. Exfoliating your lips will help scrub away the dry skin. A great scrub like Mocha Me PODS, will ensure you scrub away the dead skin, and add moisture back to your lips. Don't forget a beeswax based lip balm to top it off.
Follow this, and winter won't be so blue after all.
